In collaboration with a freelance audio designer and engineer, I contributed to contracted MLB content, where my main responsibility was creating transitional slides for advertisements to play mid-game. These slides required precise audio integration, and I oversaw the audio levels to ensure seamless transitions between live game commentary and advertisements. Working in this fast-paced environment taught me how to balance creativity and technical precision, making sure the advertisements aligned with MLB's broadcasting standards while engaging the audience without disruption.
In addition to the MLB work, I spent a considerable amount of time fixing audio for the Bradshaw Budget ad for State Farm. Although recorded in a professional studio, the ad’s audio quality was unexpectedly poor, and I was tasked with improving it to meet industry expectations. This experience tested my ability to troubleshoot and enhance others' work, pushing me to apply advanced audio engineering techniques to salvage the recording. The project demanded a high level of self-sufficiency, as I was responsible for transforming subpar audio into a final product suitable for national broadcast.
Through these projects, I developed a deeper understanding of sound integration across different media formats, from live sports broadcasts to national advertisements. My ability to adapt quickly and problem-solve in high-pressure situations strengthened my expertise in audio engineering. This experience also underscored the importance of attention to detail and creative problem-solving when working on projects with professional expectations and tight deadlines.
